The Path of the Fallen [Dec. 15th, 2006|11:01 am]
Star Wars D6

Actual play of the first session of my campaign. We played two weeks ago, but I didn't actually get a chance to write it all up until just last night.

A long time ago...Collapse )

Star Wars D6

One of the factions in the war will be Tri-Kel Technologies, a starship manufacturing corporation. They had begun exploiting too much of Phalyn, which caused much of the population to rise up against them.

Their main starfighter was the Tri-Kel P15. Even though the war is over, there are some stragglers who won't accept that fact. This is not the best representation of what Tri-Kel is capable of creating, but these were quick and easy to make during the war. Where Tri-Kel truly shines is their capital ships. These are the stats I thought up, along with a picture I'm basing them on.

Craft: Tri-Kel P15
Type: Short-range support fighter
Length: 8 meters
Scale: Starfighter
Skill: Starfighter Piloting: P15
Crew: 1
Crew Skill: Starfighter Piloting 4D, Starship Gunnery 3D+2
Passengers: None
Cargo Capacity: 50 kilos, .25 cubic meters
Consumables: 1 week
Hyperdrive Multiplier: none
Maneuverability: 2D
Space: 6
Atmosphere: 330; 950
Hull: 3D
Shields: None
Sensors: Passive 20/0D, Scan 40/1D, Search 60/2D, Focus 3/3D

Two Laser Cannons(fire-linked)
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 2D
Space Range: 1-3/15/30
Atmosphere Range: 100-300/1.5km/3.0km
Damage: 3D

Heavy Laser
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 0D
Space Range: 1-2/10/20
Atmosphere Range: 100-200/1km/2km
Damage: 6D
Note: After firing this weapon, the ship loses power for one round. It continues in the direction it was headed, but cannot be maneuvered. To fire on the ship at this time is Easy Difficulty(6-10) The majority of power output in the ship goes to powering this weapon. This is why P15's always fly in formations of at least two, so that one can fire the heavy laser each round. When the ship takes damage this is the first system to go, due to how much space in the ship is dedicated to powering it.

The Opal System [Oct. 21st, 2006|12:41 pm]
Star Wars D6

The Opal system has three and a half planets. The half comes from a planet that was almost completely destroyed in the war. The majority of the northern hemisphere remains, the rest of the planet has been reduced to an asteroid field.

The sun(known as Opal) is a bright aquamarine. Orbiting Opal is a ring of destroyed ships. There are wrecks floating throughout the system, the gravity of Opal slowly bringing them closer and closer.

The first planet from Opal(currently) is Phalyn. A water world, no vegetation grows here other than seaweed. The shallow waters, however, are teeming with aquatic wildlife. Humans must wear breathing masks. If not, their longs eventually clog from an air born algae. There are many precious metals beneath the surface of Phalyn, making it valuable to droid companies and starship manufacturers.

Next out is Glaice. A lush, beautiful jungle covers the planet. Cities float above the jungle, as it is against the local religion to build anything in the jungle itself. Only religious pilgrimages are allowed to the jungle floor.

The third planet is Sundat. It was a planet rather similar to Earth before the war. Now it is little more than a mudball. Some settlements still exist here, but the majority of the population now live on Phalyn and Glaice. Sundat's orbit takes it far away from Opal right now, and later in the year it becomes the closest planet.

The other planet was known as Plytex. It sits between Phalyn and Glaice. A very rocky, mountainous world. While not many battles were fought there, it was where the bloodiest took place. It has no atmosphere any longer, and the planet is rather unstable. It is only a matter of time before the rest of the planet breaks apart from the gravitational pulls of the different planets, and the occasional starship wreck colliding with it.

Star Wars D6

This is the basic idea I'm going with for my campaign.

One month before the Clone Wars ended, three Jedi(a padawan and two masters) were sent to the Opal System, with a contingent of Clonetroopers. It was believed the Separatists would try to take the system as one of the planets was very mineral-rich and would give them materials to make more droids. One week after the Jedi were sent, a civil war broke out in the Opal System, and a blockade was put in place. They wouldn't allow anyone else in until their war was over. Now, five years later, that war has ended. The blockade has been lifted, and the first transports are being allowed in. With them they bring travelers, aid, and word of the new Empire.

That's about as far as I've gotten so far. I've written up some information about the planets that I'll post tomorrow morning.

Star Wars D6

I created this community out of a lack of Star Wars D6 communities. I'm planning a Star Wars D6 campaign in the near-future, and wanted to see what I could find on lj for some inspiration or assistance. Sadly I found none.

And so the idea to form this community was born. I'll start off the first posts here as a sounding board for some of my own campaign plans and ideas, and hopefully will draw more people to post here with their own.
